Repasovaný notebook: what the Czech word means
"Repasovaný" is the Czech word for refurbished. A repasovaný notebook is a used laptop that a shop tested, cleaned and sells again with a legal guarantee. In your Market, the cheapest refurbished laptop sells from US$142 (16 GB), seen 16 September 2026. Czech shops add a letter to the word, A or B, and the letter describes the case.
What "repasovaný" means
The Czech shops say what it means. pocitarna.cz writes in its terms: "Jedná se o použité produkty. Před prodejem procházejí tovární repasí a vstupní kontrolou, které provádí servisní středisko prodávajícího." In English: these are used products, and the seller's service centre checks and restores them before sale.
incomputer.cz gives the same meaning in its own guide: "Repasovaný notebook je krátkodobě používané zařízení, které prošlo důkladným testováním, vyčištěním a softwarovou přípravou." So a repasovaný notebook was used, then tested, cleaned and prepared with software.
Repasovaný or použitý: refurbished or used
"Použitý" means used. Every repasovaný notebook is also použitý, and the shops say so. malicomputer.cz states: "Zboží prodávané na stránkách www.malicomputer.cz je použité, není-li výslovně uvedeno jinak." That means: the goods on the site are used, unless the shop says otherwise.
The difference is the work and the seller. A repasovaný notebook comes from a business that tested it and must give you a guarantee. A použitý notebook from a private seller comes with no legal guarantee. For a buyer, that is the difference that matters.
The letter after the word: A, A-, B, B-
A Czech shop writes the condition after the word: "Repasovaný A", "Repasovaný B-". The letter is about the case, and the shops define it in their own words. pocitarna.cz describes its A and A- grades as "Jedná se o produkty, které jsou stavem jak technickým, tak estetickým na velmi dobré úrovni." That is: very good condition, both technical and cosmetic. Its B and B- grades are different: "Jedná se o produkty, které mohou obsahovat různá estetická či funkční omezení. V popisu produktu vždy kupující nalezne podrobný popis takového omezení." So a B may have cosmetic or functional limits, and the product description always states them.
incomputer.cz sets the bar in a different place. Its A is "Zařízení je plně funkční a technicky jako nové." (fully working and technically like new). About its B, it says: "Může se objevit povrchový škrábanec, lehce ošoupaná barva nebo drobná nedokonalost, které ale nemají vliv na funkčnost zařízení." That is: a surface scratch or worn paint can occur, and it does not affect function.
Two shops, two scales. That is why this site keeps each shop's own label and puts it on one scale: Like New, Good, Fair. Our guide to refurbished laptop grades explains that scale for every shop we track.

How many shops you can buy from
In your Market, this site lists refurbished laptops across 9 shops, seen 11 October 2026. That number is for the Market you read this page in, not for Czechia. Each shop counts once, whatever its home country. For the Czech view, with prices in Czech crowns, open the Czech Market page. The 16 GB table lists the offers in your Market from the cheapest up.
Your guarantee: Czech law and EU law
A repasovaný notebook from a Czech business carries the legal guarantee. The Czech civil code, § 2165, says: "Kupující může vytknout vadu, která se na věci projeví v době dvou let od převzetí." That is: the buyer can claim a defect that appears within two years of delivery.
For used goods, the seller can agree a shorter period with you. § 2168 says: "Při koupi použité věci mohou strany zkrátit dobu podle § 2165 až na jeden rok." So the floor is one year. Read the shop's terms to see which period it gives.
EU law says the same. The EU's Your Europe page, in Czech, states: "Minimální dvouletá záruka se vztahuje rovněž na použité zboží zakoupené u profesionálních prodávajících." Where a country lets the seller agree a shorter period, the same page sets the floor: "Nesmí však být kratší než jeden rok." These rules apply only when you buy from a business.
Buying from a Czech shop in another country
A Czech shop does not always deliver outside Czechia. On a Czech delivery page, look for the verb "doručovat", to deliver: a shop "doručuje do" a country. This site reads each shop's delivery page and keeps the list of countries it names. We call that list the Ships-to.
pocitarna.cz names two countries in its terms. Its prices apply when "je zboží doručováno v rámci území České republiky a Slovenské republiky". That is Czechia and Slovakia. pocitace24.cz writes: "Objednávky na Slovensko doručujeme kurýrní službou PPL po platbě předem." It delivers to Slovakia by PPL courier, after you pay in advance. On this site, RECOMP.cz also lists Slovakia in its Ships-to, and incomputer.cz and malicomputer.cz list Czechia only.
So a buyer in Slovakia sees three of these five shops on the Slovak Market page. A buyer outside Czechia and Slovakia sees none of them in the table, because this site lists no other country for them. If you buy online from a Czech shop that delivers to you, EU law gives you a right to withdraw: "smlouvu můžete do 14 dnů zrušit bez udání důvodu". That means you can cancel within 14 days and give no reason.
Questions people ask
What does repasovaný mean?
"Repasovaný" means refurbished. A Czech shop uses it for a used laptop that it tested, cleaned and prepared for sale again. The shop sells it with a legal guarantee and a letter for the condition of the case, usually A or B.
What is the difference between repasovaný and použitý?
"Použitý" means used, and every repasovaný notebook is used. The difference is the check and the seller. A repasovaný notebook comes from a business that tested it and must give a guarantee. A used laptop from a private person comes with neither.
What guarantee does a repasovaný notebook have?
In Czechia and the rest of the EU, the legal guarantee is two years from delivery when you buy from a business. For used goods, the shop can agree a shorter period with you, but never less than one year. Read the shop's terms before you buy.
Can I buy a repasovaný notebook from outside Czechia?
From Slovakia, yes: three of the five Czech shops this site tracks deliver there. These shops name no other country, so buyers elsewhere do not see them in the table. Compare the offers that do reach you on our comparison pages.
