When you visit a page

Your browser sends your IP address and technical data, such as the browser type, to every website it opens. Cloudflare delivers this site for us and tells our server which country a request comes from. We use that country only to show you the table for it.

We do not store your IP address in our database.

Cookies and local storage

We use a small number of cookies. Most of them only remember a choice you made. We use none of them for advertising.

market
Remembers the country you chose. It lasts one year.
table
Remembers the last country table you read, so that other pages show prices for that country. It ends when you close the browser.
langbar
Remembers that you closed the language suggestion. It ends when you close the browser.
hunt_pass
Holds the access key of your Hunt Pass, if you bought one. Scripts on the page cannot read it. It ends when the pass ends.
hunt_pass_present
Tells the page that this browser holds a Hunt Pass. It holds no personal data and ends when the pass ends.
ph_<project>_posthog
PostHog analytics keeps a random visitor ID in a cookie and in the local storage of your browser. It lasts up to one year.

Analytics

We use PostHog to learn how people use the site. PostHog records the pages you view, your clicks on a page, clicks on links to shops, errors on a page, the page you came from, your browser and device type, and an approximate location from your IP address.

We send no email address to PostHog. If you hold a Hunt Pass, we link your events to the number of your pass, never to your name or email address. We remove the access key of a pass from every event before it leaves your browser.

We use the PostHog servers in the EU. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the site (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Clicks to shops and searches

When you click a link to a shop, we record which offer you clicked and the time. We record nothing that identifies you.

When you search, we count each search term per day and how many laptops it found. We do not link a search to a person.

Hunt Pass and email alerts

Stripe processes your payment. We do not see or store your card details. Stripe sends us your email address, the price you paid, its currency and the language of the checkout.

We store your email address, the access key of your pass, the dates when the pass starts and ends, and the searches you save. We use them to send you the link to your pass and the alerts you asked for.

We send these emails through Brevo. The legal basis is the contract between you and us (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).

You can delete a saved search on your pass page at any time. We keep the record of a pass after it ends, because it is the record of a sale. Write to us and we delete your data, except the data that accounting law tells us to keep.

Other services

The footer shows a badge that your browser loads from tinyshelf.co, a directory that lists this site. That site receives your IP address when the image loads.

We host our own fonts, so no font service receives your data. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.

Who receives data

We share data only with the services this page names: Cloudflare, our hosting provider, PostHog, Stripe and Brevo. Each of them processes the data for us or for your payment.

Some of these services can process data outside the EU. Where they do, they use the safeguards the GDPR requires, such as standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict its use, to receive it in a portable form, and to object to its use.

Write to us to use any of these rights. We answer within one month.

You can also complain to the Czech data protection authority, the รšล™ad pro ochranu osobnรญch รบdajลฏ (uoou.gov.cz).
