Questions about this laptop

No shop states these. We looked them up ourselves, and we say when.

Does Linux run on the refurbished version of this laptop?

Linux runs on this laptop, with something not working. Researched by us, 6 September 2026.

“Note: This laptop can come with NVIDIA Optimus (ie: both an integrated Intel GPU and a discrete NVIDIA GPU in one laptop), so this allows you to potentially obtain good battery life (when on Intel GPU) as well as high-performance 3D graphics (when on NVIDIA GPU), but Optimus is not fully supported in Linux by NVIDIA yet, so you may want to use Bumblebee for now.”wiki.debian.org

Can the RAM in this laptop be upgraded?

The RAM can be upgraded. Researched by us, 6 September 2026.

“One bank can be easily accessed via the maintenance cover on the bottom. In return, the second is a lot harder to access (keyboard). The installed main memory is exploited efficiently due to the pre-installed Windows 7 Professional 64 bit, in contrast to a 34 bit operating system. Thus, nothing is standing in the way of a memory upgrade.”notebookcheck.net

Is the screen on this laptop good?

Reviewers rate this screen well. Researched by us, 6 September 2026.

“The low black value, the large contrast ratio and the good maximum and average brightness are pleasing.”notebookcheck.net
