La pagina del Dell Latitude 5400 dice: "Pre-installed in some regions with a custom Ubuntu image that takes advantage of the system's hardware features and may include additional software." Avverte anche: "Standard images of Ubuntu may not work well, or at all."
Quindi la certificazione testa una sola immagine. Non testa ogni distribuzione. I resoconti dei proprietari qui sotto mostrano altre versioni sugli stessi modelli.

Un proprietario ci ha installato Linux Mint e ha scritto: "everything (Wi-Fi, sound, display) worked out of the box." La pagina ArchWiki del modello indica un passaggio prima dell'installazione: "Before installing, disable Secure Boot in the UEFI or configure it."

Canonical ne elenca due: "Lenovo ThinkPad P15s Gen 1 certified with Ubuntu" e "Lenovo ThinkPad P15s Gen 2i (Core i7-1185G7) certified with Ubuntu".
- ThinkPad T480. La pagina ArchWiki afferma: "There is no working Linux driver for the Fibocom L850-GL."
- ThinkPad T14 Gen 1. Un utente Fedora ha scritto: "However, there are still two unresolved hardware issues with the built-in microphone and webcams."
